covid-19

What THE PC WORKS is doing to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus.

Although there is not a current threat of corona virus in the Prescott area, THE PC WORKS is initiating some service options for our customers as outlined below.  Prescott has a large retirement community which is considered to be vulnerable to this outbreak.

Because of this, we want our customers to know that we are equipped to provide specialized service during this time to keep everyone safe.

We want people to feel safe when they come to THE PC WORKS. We want our customers to be sure that when they come to THE PC WORKS, they know we are taking this seriously.

We have remote computer services (If you can access the internet, we can provide remote service). Please read everything below.

1.  We are a local computer business, so the AMOUNT OF PEOPLE COMING INTO OUR OFFICE IS LIMITED compared to the big box companies like Best Buy, Staples, Costco. We can clean and limit exposure to people in a much better way. This can be implemented in our office or/by sending a technician out to your business or home.

This is what we have now put into effect starting in March 2020…

*All our tech’s will have no symptoms before they come into work.
*All our tech’s can use sterile gloves, and masks if requested.
*Please call us ahead of time if you require this so we can be prepared.
*Before you walk out of our office with your computer, with your permission, using gloves we will use disinfecting towels and clean your computers, keyboards and surfaces before you leave out the door for your safety.
*Hand Sanitizer will be available for all customers, as well as hand soap in the bathrooms.

2.  WE OFFER REMOTE SERVICES. If you can access the internet, we can provide remote service.

This means we can email you a link, and with your permission, take over your computer. Our technicians can assist you remotely with computer issues including viruses and malware cleanup, printer issues, software configuration, email issues, and many others. (Some issues may not be able to be addressed without physically having your computer.)

IMPORTANT TO KNOW – “THE PC WORKS” will never contact you first to initiate a remote session. If you are contacted by a scammer or see a pop-up on the internet prompting you to call a 1-800 phone number, do not call or speak to them.
We will only call after you CONTACT US (Prescott accent) to set up a remote session. If you are contacted by phone by someone who claims that your computer is infected (normally with a heavy accent), hang up immediately. Scammers call and pretend to be from legitimate companies who have found issues with your computer.

3.  BUSINESSES TAKING ADVANTAGE OF OUR MSP (Managed Service Provider) PROGRAM!

We have a service that provides software to every computer in your office allowing us to handle remote jobs. This service also detects hardware issues/failures. It detects software problems. It gives us a full inventory of all computers, years/dates, serial numbers, software licenses and much more. This is helpful to make reports for you as well as provide you with needed upgrades for future planning. It can provide full tune-ups, clean-ups, installs/upgrades of needed software, as well as patch vulnerabilities, provide scheduled Windows Updates and reboots machines after hours to keep your office running at top proficiency. This would be a great time to schedule a FREE CONSULTATION to find out all THE PC WORKS can offer your business.

PLEASE CALL US 928-445-6700 OR 928-775-5475 FOR ALL COMPUTER SERVICES YOU MAY NEED. WE ARE READY TO PROVIDE ANY SERVICES AND SAFETY PROTOCOLS YOU MAY REQUIRE.
